It is one of the most important factors to determine selection of right college or university. Admission rate is the percentage of applicants that are admitted or accepted to a college or university.

Generally, institutions with higher acceptance rates will enroll students from a wide variety of academic backgrounds. These institutions may accept even those who have not received the best grades in high school.

On the other hand, institutions with lower acceptance rates will enroll only the strongest applicants. You can easily analyze institution’s reputation even on the basis of its admission rates. Sometimes, it can be correlated to the quality of education provided by the college.

Thus, it would be wise decision to apply a number of colleges or universities to increase the chances of getting admission in case one college rejects you.
