It is one of the most common tests to confirm pregnancy status. You can perform a urine test either at your home or at doctor’s clinic by precisely following the instructions written on the ready-to-use test kit.

The accuracy of home pregnancy test kit is known to be about 97-99 % and it is advisable to take the test in early morning at least a week after a missed period. It can detect hCG levels of 10 mIU/mL -100 mIU/mL in urine sample.

A home pregnancy test kit will be supplied with either a test strip or a dipstick. The test strip needs to be held in urine stream whereas a dipstick needs to be dipped into the sample of your urine.

Some test kits may have a test device with wells and here you will be asked to put few drops of urine with the help of a dropper into the well & than wait for 5-10 minutes in order to allow color change in other well.

If you get color change in area marked as control (C) & Test (T) both than it is a positive pregnancy test but if color change is observed only in area marked as control (C) than it is a negative pregnancy test.
